Thanks to everyone for their support during our February "LoveCats" events. We especially wish to thank those who donated items and gift certificates for our Silent Benefit Auction. They are: Byzantium; Sally Kennedy (Powell Fitness); Lori McCullough (Lori's Living Foods); Cheryl Wilson; Dean Hildreth (Lotus Floral Concepts); Vorys, Sater, Seymour & Pease, LLC (especially Nicole Papa & Penelope, the Princessa); the Kroger Company; Complete Petmart; Elaine Riley (Faith & Hope); Phyllis King; S. Christmas (Maxx New York); Lori Guth Moffett, CYT; Cathleen Janos, RPP; Wauvette Duncan, LMT; Christine Brasel; Helen Vetere; Amy Brennick & Elizabeth Lessner (Betty's, Tip Top, & Surly Girl); Kelly Zalenski (Artist); Roxanne L. Smith-Mansell (Artist); Bethany Jozwiak (Artist).
All proceeds from our auction and 15% of all art show and website proceeds benefit our Feline Assistance Fund. This fund supports those who foster homeless cats and kittens, and also assists those who are helping to contain feral cat population growth. ZenCat Gallery has adopted Columbus Kitty Rescue (www.ColumbusKittyRescue.org), a local shelter founded by two Columbus women. The shelter is primarily self-funded and is currently located on the south side of the city. Barb and Jenny both were involved in doing animal rescue work and decided to establish a shelter about two years ago after Barb rescued about 14 kittens from a farmhouse near her home.
Stay tuned for more on Columbus Kitty Rescue in my next blog and an interview with Barb about this little shelter with a big heart!
Thanks to "LoveCats" Supporters!
