ZenCat Gallery held its debut show on Saturday, 11/29 and what a purrrrfectly wonderful event it was! Our "Holiday Oasis Show" was hosted by ZenGenius Gallery in the Short North and featured the works of 10 artists displaying a variety of mediums including painting, printing, wire sculpture, photography, pulp paper, drawings, and paper collage work. Featured artists were Trudi Duncan, Sarah Goetz, Erin Groff, Lisa McLymont, Jay Moffett, Catherine Moore, David m Morgan, Judith Vierow, Judi Young, and Kelly Zalenski. We thank them for their submissions and welcome them to our online gallery! (Full website gallery will be up by this weekend, so be sure to check it out!)

Our "Holiday Oasis Show" also featured our adorable ZenCat Gallery Signature product line of buttons, t-shirts and bumper stickers! Our graphics diva is Lisa McLymont. Not only does Lisa create our designs, but she also unveiled a new line of dedicational copper wire cat sculptures at the show. And if that wasn't enough, Lisa also created an adorable fountain display together with Tracy Elzy, botanical & floral artist! Check out the pics of our event to see the amazing array of talent that made this event one we will never forget!
The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the vibe was blissful with a flowing fountain and sounds of Kitaro filling the air. Our mission of creating community among feline fanatics was joyously accomplished as our artists met one another and mingled with our guests. This event was a dream come true as I have held this moment in my heart for many years. In my role as a life coach I guide and inspire my clients to create the life they dream of. To "walk the talk" is one's highest credential. Truly the most touching aspect of this magical manifestation is the coming together of so many loving individuals to co-create ZenCat Gallery.
To the ZenCat team I extend my deepest appreciation -- Elaine Riley, our Business & Marketing Director whose dedication and business savvy truly made this dream a reality; Lisa McLymont, Artist & Graphic Designer who lovingly created the personality and presence of ZenCat Gallery through her brilliant visuals; Tracy Elzy, our Events coordinator & Floral Designer whose diverse talents and artistic eye gave special beauty to this event; and Ryan Homan, our Website Designer who is creating our awesome online presence! Extra special thanks to Joe Baer and Paul Cooke, owners of ZenGenius & hosts of ZenGenius Gallery for their loving generosity inviting us to be their guests! Paul also directed the hanging of our show totether with Megan Green and Sharon Bell, Artists and friends of ZenGenius.
Several local businesses supported us by providing decadent desserts and drinks! We thank Elizabeth Lessner of Betty's Fine Food & Spirits, Brian Hotopp of Piece of Cake, Lori McCullough of Lori's Living Foods, and Jean Wu & I-Chen Huang of ZenCha Tea Salon. Do support these businesses in your holiday dining and entertaining plans.

We wish to acknowledge our Founding Supporters whose financial contributions and faith in us we deeply appreciate. They are Kelley Hubbard, Phyllis King, Lori Guth Moffett, and the ladies at My Very Own Blanket. I also wish to thank my mother Helen, who not only assisted me throughout the creation of ZenCat Gallery but who has always believed in me and has taught me to believe in myself. Dreams are meant to be lived and love makes it so.
Here's to a growing family of ZenCats!!! See you this Saturday at the Short North Gallery Hop! We'll have some extra special holiday gifts for your shopping pleasure and also our online gallery debut!!!
